It is aimed for the layman to understand the basics of personal finance, and for the same layman to reach common financial goals such as getting out of debt, managing day-to-day finances, and accumulating wealth through saving and investing. As Kim Hubbard (1868-1930) puts it:

What will this blog cover?
The blog covers a variety of topics such as good personal habits every one of us should have to live a prosperous and balanced financial life. It will share reviews on many different financial products, tools, and methods like credit cards, personal loans, student loans, savings accounts, equities, and debt to help the reader make better informed financial decisions. The Money Monkey inspires to explain many basic concepts in finance that every non-financial savvy individual should know about.
What is the blog’s goal?
The main goal of this blog is to provide the reader with a repository of stories, articles, and ideas to save money and make more money. A little goes a long way and we should all remember that every little bit contributes to our goal of financial independence, wellness, and ultimately, happiness.

Disclaimer: As the author is based in the great white North, the blog takes on a more distinctly Canadian perspective. Discussions of student loans will predominantly focus on OSAP and retirement accounts on RRSPs (as opposed to the 401(k) in the United States) etcetera.
